Dormidos
cada uno está en su mundo,
en su exclusivo mundo:
hermético, cerrado a ajenos ojos,
amigo: mucho sabes;
I have, my friend, is a deep
desire to sleep! ... You know: sleep
is a state of divinity.
He who sleeps is a god ... What I have,
friend, is great desire to sleep
Sleep is in life the only world of
ours, for the vigil takes us
in the common illusion, in the ocean
called "Reality". Awakened
we all see the same:
we see the land, the water, the air, the fire,
the ephemeral creatures ... Asleep
each one is in his own world,
in his exclusive world :
hermetic, closed to outside eyes
to alien souls. each mind spinning
its own dream (or truth: who knows! )
Not even the most adored one
can enter through the door with us
in our dream . Not even the wife
who shares your bed
hear you dialogue with your ghosts
plying in your spirit
while you sleep, could
even when she craves it,
cross the threshold of that world,
you mirific world of shadows.
Oh, blessed are those who sleep!
For them dies every night,
with all its pain, the universe
that we make every day with our spirit.
Turning off the light, turns off the cosmos.
The greatest punishment is the vigil:
insomnia is exile
of the best paradise ...
No one, not even the happiest, would subtract
hours sleep to be happy .
Neither the beloved woman
is worth what is worth a gentle and serene sleep
in the arms of the one who suggests
holy inspirations . ..
"The day is of men, but night
of the gods" said the ancient.
Do not disturb my peace with your speeches,
friend: you know much ;
but my dream know even more ... Go away!
I do not want no glory nor inheritance:
What I have, my friend, is a deep desire to sleep
