ADHD is associated with a number of common sleep disorders including insomnia, sleep apnea, and restless leg syndrome. In an individual child the quetion arises as to whether the interrupted sleep is the cause or the result of ADHD. However even when the diagnosis of ADHD is the correct, addressing co-existing sleep issues may dramatically improve ADHD symptoms.
